New Features
[Admin] Functionality to copy existing exams. Next to the list of exams, there is a hamburger menu on the right-hand side, which includes the “Duplicate exam” functionality. A modal appears to configure the name and scope of the duplicated content.
When selecting the "Duplicate Exam" action, a modal appears allowing you to customize which attributes should be carried over. The options dynamically adapt based on the exam's settings:
Name: Allows you to define the title of the new exam immediately. It defaults to "Copy of [Original Exam Name]".
Reviewer/Proctor Instructions: When enabled, copies all instruction text intended for the reviewers or live proctors in case of a live proctoring exam.
Note: This option is not available if the exam hasn’t got any reviewer/proctor instructions set
Student instructions: When enabled, copies the instructions for students, including any attached exam documents or LTI 1.1 connections.
Note 1: This option is not available if the exam is in Draft status
Note 2: Exams created through LTI 1.3 cannot be duplicated.
Students registered for the exam: Toggles whether to copy the list of registered students to the new exam. (Default: Off).
Note 1: Proctor pre-assignments are not copied to prevent scheduling conflicts.
Note 2: The copied student sessions are immediately added to the exam with the open time set to the exam’s start time. This can only be modified in bulk by changing the exam’s start time to a later start time.
Note 3: The exam modality (record & review/live proctoring and whether or not mobile is used) cannot be changed after the student sessions are created.
Apply start/end time: If enabled, the new exam will inherit the exact start and end times of the original exam.
Note: This option is only available if the original exam's start time is in the future, otherwise the start time is set to the current time and can be changed to a later time by editing the new exam.
Duplicate exam modal when all settings are available.
After clicking Duplicate, the system processes the request. Upon successful completion, you are immediately redirected to the edit page of the new exam to continue setting up.
