New Features

• [API] API enhancements to allow setting new live proctoring parameters for an institute. (Please refer to the APIv3 docs after the release for details.) The new parameters for institute are:
  • pre_assigned_proctor_fallback_threshold: Setting for the number of minutes before students get assigned an alternative proctor if the pre-assigned proctor isn’t online. Default: 0.
  • connected_proctor_fallback_threshold: Setting for the number of minutes before students get assigned an alternative proctor if the current proctor gets disconnected. Default: 0.
  • block_students_until_proctor_connected: Toggle to prevent students from starting the exam setup if they aren’t connected to a proctor. Default: false.

Improvements to existing features

• [Exam takers] Added a visual help to students to show them how to toggle the sidebar, which may cover parts of the exam on low resolutions.

Bug fixes

• [Exam takers] Prevent exam takers from sending messages to proctors after the exam has ended.
• [Live Proctoring] Ensure the timeouts set at the institute level for the fallbacks when live proctors aren’t connected are enforced accurately. This fixes the case where the fallback timeout was set to 5 minutes, as an example, but it took 7 minutes before a new proctor would be assigned.
