• Features
  • All exams use the new exam-taker experience, it is not possible to use the legacy experience anymore.
    • API: The student_experience field is ignored
    • API: The exam_language field only supports the language codes of the new experience, e.g. (en-GB instead of en or fr-FR instead of fr).
      
      
• Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where the screen could be blank for a few seconds (up to a couple of minutes) when starting the system check
  • Fixed a rare issue where the test taker might be blocked during the exam setup, after connecting the webcam
  • Fixed the issue where the reminder emails for taking the system check 24h before the exam weren’t being sent. (Note: the contents of the email will be fixed in our next release)
    
    
• Improvements
  • Add an alert when the proctor connection to our streaming servers doesn’t work
  • Improve the first step after installing the Chrome extension, so that the page is refreshed and the system check proceeds automatically
  • Improve the error messages in the new exam-taker experience to better differentiate between issues on the client side (test taker equipment) and on the server side (unexpected errors in the Proctorexam infrastructure)

• Bug Fixes
  • Live proctoring: Fixes the issue where the proctor chat window did not re-open automatically when a message arrived.
  • Live proctoring: Fixes the issue where no native Chrome notification is received when a proctor message is received.
  • Live proctoring: Fixes an issue where a has_started_proctoring event might have been published before a working proctoring connection was established.
  • Exam admin: Fixes an issue where editing the allowed materials fields was inconsistent.
