Access Moodle as an Administrator:

Log in to your Moodle site with an administrator account.

Navigate to the Plugin Configuration:

Go to "Site administration" in the Moodle dashboard.

Look for the "Plugins" tab.

Select "Manage tools" under the "External tool" section.

Locate your ProctorExam Dynamic Registration URL

Before you initiate dynamic registration, ensure you have the Dynamic Registration URL provided in your ProctorExam environment.

Login to ProctorExam, change to your desired institute that you wish to link to your LMS and navigate to the institute settings page.

Choose the “LMS Registrations” tab and copy the dynamic registration URL. eg. https://<environment>.proctorexam.com/lte/registrations/dynamic
This URL will be used in the next step to communicate between Moodle and the external tool (ProctorExam) for the registration process.

Initiate Dynamic Registration:

Return to your Moodle instance and on the "Manage tools" page, look for the “Add tool” panel and enter the Tool URL from step 3. Click the “Add LTI Advantage” button to start the registration process.

NOTE: If you have existing LTI registrations for the same domain (xxx.proctorexam.com), then Moodle will ask if you would like to update an existing registration or create a new one. You should click the "Register as a new external tool" button in order to create a registration with a unique deployment ID.

Enter OPTIONAL Moodle API token

Add your Moodle API token to allow exam organisers to easily select a course activity to proctor. You can also perform this step later within the ProctorExam "LMS Registrations" settings page.

Complete Registration
- Click “Update Registration”

Confirm and activate the registration by clicking the “Activate” button.
- If success then ProctorExam should now be available as a pre-registered tool when Adding a proctoring activity to a Moodle course
