With the growing use of live proctoring, the ProctorExam team have been working to improve our live proctoring experience for both candidates and proctors.
From talking to customers we have learnt that:
-
Candidates reconnecting to alternative proctor can create confusion and unpredictable experience
-
Customers want more control over which proctors are assigned to which students in order to manage capacity more efficiently and also to comply with legal requirements
-
Assigning of the overall RAG status should be part of the live proctoring workflow rather than a separate step performed via the back office.
We have been designing and implementing a new technical architecture to support these and future objectives.
As we begin to roll out the first phase, we wanted to share details on changes in behaviour that can be expected in order to set expectations. Note that since we’re following an agile approach, some functionality may be limited in the beginning but we will expand on the capabilities on an continuous basis, taking customer feedback into account as we go.
